It's been some year for City's No. 10, who scored 13 goals in his debut season with Leicester, as the Foxes bounced back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, claiming the Sky Bet Championship crown in their year-long absence.

Growing through the ranks in London with Arsenal, the Englishman gained valuable professional minutes during loan spells with Charlton Athletic and Preston North End, scoring twice in just over 30 appearances before jetting off to Italy to try and make an impression in Turin with Juventus.

Spending most of his time in the youth setup, he did make a singular league appearance for the First Team, as the Old Lady went on to claim the Serie A title during the 2018/19 season; the first league winners' medal of the forward's career, before moving to the East Midlands.

Mavididi then joined Dijon on loan, but he made his mark in France with Montpellier, registering 21 goals in 98 appearances. This earned the Derbyshire-born player a move to the Championship with Leicester, who clearly saw talent and what he could become.

Things got off to a flying start at King Power Stadium as the former Gunner got an assist in a 2-1 win over Coventry City in the M69 derby but it was Huddersfield Town where he scored his first City goal, making the difference at John Smith's Stadium.

A regular in the team that saw the Foxes reach top spot and stake an early claim in the title race, the winger's next goal came on the south coast, rounding off a 4-1 win against promotion-winning side Southampton before a goal against Queen's Park Rangers took his tally to three.

Things then kickstarted for Mavididi in the final stages of 2023, scoring five times in December against Plymouth Argyle, Birmingham City and Ipswich Town before carrying on the next month in similar fashion, scoring against the Terriers at home on New Year's Day.

A single goal against Swansea City took us to March before the now 26-year-old scored a stunner against Premier League opposition Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, as the Foxes pushed the hosts all the way in the Emirates FA Cup.

Goals at the start of April against Norwich City and Birmingham signed off the forward's scoring tally for the 23/24 season, during what was a challenging period for Leicester, as they dug in deep to not only claim promotion, but the title in an enthralling Championship campaign.

Thirteen goals in all competitions, with 12 coming in the league; the winger showed exactly why he was recruited for this term and now has the chance to perform on the world's biggest stage - and we can't wait to see what he's got in store for us next.
