- LCFC Women face Arsenal in the Barclays Women's Super League this weekend_- Willie Kirk confirmed that Shannon O'Brien will be out for two months with injury_- The Manager also provided an update on Remy Siemsen's return to fitness- Ticketing information for Sunday's clash at King Power Stadium can be found HERE After an agonising 2-1 defeat to Liverpool last weekend, where Missy Goodwin's equaliser was cancelled out by a late strike from Marie Höbinger at Prenton Park, the Foxes have the chance to get back on track when they welcome the Gunners to King Power Stadium for a 6:45pm GMT kick-off. Ahead of their meeting with the Londoners, the Barclays Women's Super League Manager of the Month for October shared a squad update, and named forward O'Brien as the player who required a scan last week, stating that City's No.27 will be withdrawn from the squad for a substantial amount of time due to injury. "We can confirm that Shannon [O'Brien] will be out for a couple of months with a quad injury," Kirk revealed on Thursday. "It's come at a bad time for her, not that there is ever a good point, but she was performing well, forced a goal on the opening day and she was hitting a bit of form. "We've got the results back from the scan and it doesn't look good, but we'll do everything we can to look after Shannon and get her back to full fitness as quickly, but also as safely as possible.
"We've had to restrict her training, she'll be on her own for a little while, which can get lonely, but the coaches will be with her all the way and we're hoping to see her back stronger."
Elsewhere, there was also an update on Australian forward Remy Siemsen, who is yet to feature for the Foxes this term due to injury. City's Manager added: "The good news is that Remy [Siemsen] may be on the bench against Arsenal, however it could still be too early, but you'll see her soon."
