The Northern Irishman, a winner of two League Cups at the Club in the late 1990s, joined hundreds of City fans inside the Foxes Fanstore to reminisce about a halcyon time for LCFC. O'Neill's passionate and skilled management at Filbert Street inspired Leicester towards one of their greatest-ever eras, following promotion to the Premier League with four consecutive top-10 finishes and a duo of European campaigns.
To celebrate the release of his new book, On Days Like These, the ex-Celtic, Aston Villa, Sunderland and Republic of Ireland manager gave up several hours of his time on the 23-year anniversary of the Foxes' 2000 League Cup triumph. Matt Elliott, a double goalscorer that day, was in attendance to oversee the Q&A and tell his own tales on Filbert Way.
Inside O'Neill's autobiography, available now, the First Division and European Cup winning former midfielder recalls those days at Leicester City, his working relationship with players like Steve Walsh, and the pride of bringing silverware to Leicester. A whole range of products which pay tribute to the Fox Leisure days remain available now at LCFC.com/shop.
