- Claudio Ranieri wants Leicester to remain concentrated and be aggressive against Southampton
- St. Mary’s Stadium is the venue for Sunday’s Premier League fixture with Claude Puel’s men
- Ranieri believes his side won’t have to wait much longer for this season’s first away win in the league
Staying focused for the full 90 minutes will be key when Leicester City take on Southampton, says Claudio Ranieri.
The Saints have lost only three times at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League in the 2016/17 campaign – two of those defeats coming against Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
Claude Puel’s brand of football has seen them dominate possession on a number of occasions this term, including the back in October.
Ranieri said of Sunday’s opponents: “They are a good team and keep possession of the ball very well. They move the ball quickly.
“I remember the first leg here. They deserved to win. We drew, but they deserved to win. We must be very concentrated and aggressive.”
Ranieri believes City’s first away win in the Premier League this term is on the horizon, with trips to Southampton and Burnley coming either side of an Emirates FA Cup fixture at Derby County.
He added: “So far we’ve won only in the Champions League and FA Cup away so now we have to change our mood.
“Last season we won so many matches away. We are the same and sooner or later we will start to win away.”
