- Wilfred Ndidi could make his first Premier League appearance for Leicester City on Saturday, according to Claudio Ranieri
- The midfielder adapted well during his debut against Everton last weekend
- Leonardo Ulloa has a muscle problem and is unlikely to be fit for the Chelsea clash
Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi could potentially be handed a Premier League debut when Leicester City host Chelsea at King Power Stadium on Saturday, says Claudio Ranieri.
The Nigeria international impressed on his maiden appearance for the Foxes during the 2-1 Emirates FA Cup win over Everton at Goodison Park last weekend.
Now, he could feature in the Premier League for the first time, as City take on Antonio Conte’s table-topping Chelsea side.
When asked whether Ndidi could make his Premier League bow, Ranieri said: “I think so. I’ve been waiting this kind of performance.
“I’m sure he’ll get better because the more he plays, the more he will understand the team.”
Meanwhile, Ranieri says Leonardo Ulloa has a muscular problem and is likely to miss out, while Andy King and Jamie Vardy are both available.
Ranieri added: “Andy King okay and also Jamie Vardy trained regularly this week. [Leo] Ulloa no, he has to wait a little more. He has a little muscle problem – he’s not so strong.”
