Claudio Ranieri says the only way Leicester City will put their difficult run of results behind them is by continuing to show their fighting spirit both on and off the pitch.
In their last outing, the Foxes were following a last-gasp strike from Sam Vokes, who appeared to handle the ball before stabbing over the line.
It was a defeat that City certainly did not deserve having gone close themselves most notably through Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and Wes Morgan.
Ranieri was satisfied with his side’s performance, but knows it is in their hands to turn their results around, with a visit of Manchester United to King Power Stadium next up on Sunday.
“I think it was a tough match for both teams,” Ranieri said at the final whistle. “They push a lot with the long ball and second ball. We knew that and they believed until the end.
“We tried to make some good counter attack. Maybe we missed the last assist but we tried to score a goal. It was a good match. It is okay. Burnley won. Well done to them.
“I am happy with our performance, our character. We showed a good performance but the result is not with us and we have to work more, believe and fight more.
“Of course, how we can lose we can win. We need to make two or three good matches with points and then we are getting better.”
