_- LCFC Women Academy graduate Monique Robinson signs professional terms__- The 18-year-old commits her future to the Foxes_- The Midfielder scored her first goal for City in January 2023
The talented 18-year-old midfielder signs professional terms in Leicestershire having already spent a significant period of her footballing development within the First-Team environment at Belvoir Drive.
Speaking to LCFC TV, Monique commented: "I am buzzing. This is something I’ve been dreaming of since I was a little kid. The Academy have been massive for my development. Playing against other WSL academies has helped me prepare for the step up into the senior environment.
"Having a shared development plan between the First-Team and the Academy has allowed me to develop in areas that I need to develop in. For the rest of the season, I just want to be there for the team, whether that's on the pitch or off the pitch."
An exciting prospect, Monique made her debut in a City shirt against Manchester City in the League Cup in January 2022, before making her Barclays Women’s Super League bow against Chelsea two months later.
Monique has since gone on to represent the Club on seven further occasions and netted her first senior goal in a 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 – an effort that was nominated for the Goal of the Month award.
Her development during this time has continued as she gained experience with Loughborough Lightning on a dual-registration agreement that saw her gain significant game-time alongside her integration into the First-Team setup at LCFC Women.
Monique will continue preparations alongside her team-mates at Belvoir Drive as the Foxes look forward to hosting Liverpool at King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Tickets for the fixture are available to purchase HERE.
