- Manager Brendan Rodgers discusses Leicester City’s second leg prospects after drawing 0-0 at Slavia Prague on Thursday night- Their UEFA Europa League Round of 32 second leg tie will take place at Leicester City Stadium in a week’s time- Rodgers was pleased to see supporters in attendance at Sinobo Stadium
The Foxes drew 0-0 with the in-form Czech side on Thursday night, creating goalscoring opportunities while also having to dig deep at times in the nation’s capital.
For Rodgers, with a first leg clean sheet intact, Thursday 25 February’s encounter will be met by City with a fearsome desire to advance to the next round.
“We’ve seen it in some of our games in Europe this season where away from home we’ve had some good results,” Rodgers told LCFC TV at full-time.
“Like in Braga, you draw the game, and then you win well at home, and in some of the other games as well.
“It’s always tough when you travel away. We respect them as a team. In the second leg, we can really go and attack the game.”
City played in front of supporters for the first time since March 2020 on Thursday, and while it was a welcome sight for Rodgers, the 48-year-old says he is looking forward to the day the Blue Army are able to attend matches.
“It gives it that extra little edge,” Rodgers said. “They reckon there’s supposed to be 600 here tonight, but it certainly looked a bit more than that!
“It was nice to get supporters back in, but I only wish that we could get some of the Leicester City supporters in as well.”
