- Wout Faes is in contention to make his Leicester City debut this weekend- The Foxes welcome Aston Villa to King Power Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off)- Faes missed last Sunday's 5-2 reverse at Brighton - Manager Brendan Rodgers also confirms there are no new injuries in the squad
The Foxes return to Filbert Way for a Premier League encounter with Steven Gerrard's Villa on Saturday (3pm kick-off). Rodgers' side are searching for their first win of the 2022/23 season and currently sit bottom of the top flight table
New signing Faes missed last Sunday's 5-2 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion having not received his visa in time for the match, but the Belgian centre-back is expected to be in contention for selection this weekend.
"No, there’s nothing new," the Northern Irishman said, concerning injuries. On Faes' eligibility for the game against Villa, he added: "He's available, yes."
It's been a tough run of form for City, but Rodgers, speaking in LCFC Training Ground's King Power Centre, insists hard work is the path to getting back to winning ways.
"You've got to take your medicine and work hard on the training field," he continued. "I'm pretty sure our next win will be round the corner. That will be a big relief and then we can move on from there."
