- LCFC Women travel to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon- The Barclays Women's Super League fixture will kick-off at 3pm GMT at Prenton Park- Lize Kop and Remy Siemsen are close to returning- Willie Kirk said one player will be unavailable this Sunday
After a positive international break, which saw eight Foxes in action, domestic football returns for City, who travel to Prenton Park on Sunday to tackle a side they have already beaten this season in the Continental Tyres League Cup.
In Friday's press conference, the Manager told the media that there are a couple of players who are close to returning to the matchday squad, but admited that one player, who he didn't name, could be sidelined.
"We've got one injury, which has just happened in the last day or two," Kirk said. "We're taking a look and getting it scanned to see what the exact details are. It's disappointing for her, but we don't want to release too many details at the moment until we know what the situation is because she's had a very good start to the season."
He did go on to reveal the positive news that Australian striker Siemsen and Dutch 'keeper Kop are close to featuring for Leicester, and is excited about how they will work their way into the squad with the Club performing so well - winning three out of five in all competitions so far this term.
Kirk added: "The good news is that Lize [Kop] is back training. She's not fully ready yet, but she will be back soon, and we're excited about that because, even though Jani [Janina Leitzig] is doing well, having Lize back will only provide that good competition to push each other on.
"The situation with Remy [Siemsen] is that she's back on the grass and doing light training with the team. We're probably another two or three weeks before we see Remy in line-ups, but she's progressing well."
