About The Role
As part of its new state-of-the-art training facility, Leicester City Football Club will be launching its new Sports Turf Academy with one of its core objectives to deliver pitch improvement to grassroots clubs throughout Leicestershire.
Working closely with the Head of Sports Turf and Sports Turf Academy Manager, this role will offer the right candidate an opportunity to proactively improve playing surfaces across the county; offering help, support and turf related advise along with implementing recommended improvement works.
Further duties of the role will include: 
  • Generating business and secure investment to allow the implementation of works within the community
  • Managing, scheduling and implementing pitch improvement works through peak renovation seasons
  • Monitoring and managing the standards of delivery across this area of the business
  • Producing recommendation reports for clubs to help secure improvement investment for pitch improvement works
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines. Other key skills for the role include:
  • The ability to forge new working partnerships on behalf of the Sports Turf Academy
  • Possession of relevant sports turf qualifications
  • Possession of excellent computer and administration skills, skilled in report writing and managing budgets
  • A practical, flexible and innovative approach to work
  • Dedication to self-improvement and personal development
  • Willingness to support and promote the Club and football philosophy 
Do you have these essential requirements?
  • The ability to manage a pitch contracting service
  • The relevant qualifications to operate machinery
  • The ability to communicate at all levels from grassroots through to governing bodies
  • The ability to manage a team
  • The capability to organise and plan works to a very high standard through peak seasons
  • The ability to produce reports and recommendations
  • The ability to manage a budget
  • All relevant driving licence criteria such as B+E or above to enable logistic mobilisation of equipment to various sites
