He was recognised for his efforts at the Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG) Industry Awards, where he received his award by Toro national account manager Alistair Rowell in front of an audience of more than 650 of the UK’s and Europe’s leading groundscare experts, as well as dignitaries from various sports governing bodies. 
Leading a nine-strong team at Belvoir Drive, Callum has worked in the sports turf industry for 10 years and is studying for accreditation to Level 3 in sports turf management. Based on his knowledge of nutrient input, and plant and soil health, he has introduced a working programme of maintenance that includes separate spring/summer and autumn/winter regimes to achieve high-class playing surfaces. 
He has a sound understanding of the IOG’s Pitch Performance Quality Standards, and as well as working for the Foxes, Callum has previously delivered training with the IOG to football grounds people in France and Kosovo in the build-up to UEFA and FIFA fixtures.
He contested the award with Daniel Hill, Harlequins FC, and Lee Morgan from Arnold House School, London.
