- Belgium beat Serbia 1-0 on Wednesday evening- Wout Faes was introduced into the friendly fixture at half-time- Yannick Carrasco scored the only goal at King Power at Den Dreef Stadion
With Leicester sat at the summit of the Sky Bet Championship, level on 39 points with Ipswich Town, the international break arrived following only a third defeat of the season for City - a narrow 1-0 loss to Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon.
Following the defeat on Teesside, several Foxes headed on international duty with the chance to represent their countries over this week, and the first player to make an appearance on the global stage was defender Faes, who made a second-half cameo in Belgium's victory over Serbia.
In the friendly match, the Leicester player was named on the bench by Domenico Tedesco, as it took the hosts only two minutes to break the deadlock when Al Shabab winger Yannick Carrasco, who joined the Saudi Arabia club earlier this year, scored after just two minutes.
At the interval, three changes were made including the introduction of Faes, who replaced Arthur Theate in defence to see out victory at the home of Oud-Heverlee Leuven and with it, a clean sheet against FIFA's 29th-best ranked side in the world.
City's No.3 will have another chance to feature for the Belgian Red Devils when they welcome Azerbaijan to Stade Roi Baudouin in Brussels on Sunday afternoon (5pm GMT kick-off). A full list as to when Leicester's stars could feature during the international break can be found HERE.
