Joined by a healthy crowd from among the Blue Army in the pitch-facing Gallery restaurant, three icons of the Club's history looked back on City's rich heritage over a three-hour event on Filbert Way.
The Birch, a familiar face on matchdays at King Power Stadium, has served as Club Ambassador for over 30 years after making 160 appearances for the Foxes between 1971 and 1977, scoring 12 goals.
Alan has also raised a staggering £1M for local charities through his annual End of Season Run and other fundraisers – while he continues to gather funds for The Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation.
Shilton, meanwhile, is an iconic Leicester figure with truly legendary status after earning the first 20 of a record 125 caps for the English national side while at Filbert Street, City's former home.
Based within one of City's platinum hospitality areas, the iconic duo, who played alongside each other for three seasons, took questions from the room as well as fondly recalling their playing days.
"This has been such an enjoyable evening! It's a nice turnout from the supporters," Shilton said.
"My time at the Club was a long time ago but it's quite a mature audience so some of them may remember my time at Leicester!
"It's always nice for me because I've always said that Leicester is the club I support. I obviously have fond memories of all my clubs and I look for their results, but Leicester is the club I supported since the age of nine.
"Leicester is my hometown and where it all started for me. When you're young and you want to become a footballer, you work hard to make it happen and the memories of coming down on my bike for the youth team are so clear.
"When you actually sign as an apprentice for your hometown club, it's a dream come true. You can see that Leicester City is in a very good place, right from the top, and the new training ground is going to be one of the best in the world.
"There's a lot of exciting things happening at the Club and Brendan Rodgers is a manager with a lot of experience at the top so it's hopefully going to be a very exciting time for the Club as we go into the future."
The Birch, meanwhile, was also thrilled to have another opportunity to spend the evening in the company of some of City's most dedicated supporters and particularly enjoyed the camaraderie with Taggart and Shilton.
The Foxes icon said: "It's always great to meet up with old buddies! Gerry's doing a great job as MC, well by his standards anyway! He's got home help and everything so it's a struggle for him!
"I've loved this reunion with Shilts, too. You always leave these events and think afterwards, 'ah I should have told that story', but it's been fantastic to look back at my days at the Club as a player.
"I'm a lucky fella and I enjoy these events so much. To spend some quality time with our Blue Army and just relax in good company means so much to us at the Club and I hope the fans have had as much of a good time as I have."
