- Leicester City head to AMEX Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday (8pm GMT kick-off)- The Foxes are third in the top-flight standings, while the Seagulls are 16th- Brendan Rodgers and Wilfred Ndidi have provided Leicester-centric previews this week- Graham Potter and Dan Burn have also spoken to the media on the south coast
The Foxes are two games without a victory in the top flight, following Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Burnley, while the Seagulls are looking for a first success since a 1-0 win at Anfield on 3 February. Ahead of Saturday's clash in Falmer, key figures from both dressing room have spoken in the media... Brendan Rodgers explains his admiration for the south coast outfit: “We just know it’s a very difficult game. Despite their results, the performance level is very good. I’ve been really impressed with Graham’s work since he’s gone in there. With the game model he’s tried to implement with his team, they have nice confidence with the ball, the positioning game is good, they circulate the ball at a good speed, they get good numbers going forward and they want to attack the game, so we’ll be ready for a tough game. I don’t think it’s any more or less difficult (facing a team with mixed results). In the modern game, you have to put any disappointment you have behind you.” Brighton manager Graham Potter on the battle to turn performances into wins: “We need to understand there’s a lot of points to play for. We’re doing a lot well. We have to keep that going and, at the same time, always understand the challenge of this league. Everybody’s capable of getting results, that’s how it is. You can’t have it both ways. You say it’s the most competitive league in the world and then it’s easy for people to win. That doesn’t make sense. That’s what it is and we accept that and we’ll keep fighting.”
Wilfred Ndidi assesses the nature of the test: “It’s a different game from Burnley, but it’s a game we’ll work for and work our head around and try to do our best. At this time, we have to get as much points as we can. It’s the kind of game we’re looking forward to and we’ll see what comes out of it. For us, as a team, we know they have a different style, but we always try to adapt. It is a different game. They try to keep the ball but can actually play long balls too. It’s these kind of games you have to do your best, stay together and do our best.” Seagulls defender Dan Burn speaking to My Albion TV: “I’m not being disrespectful to West Brom, but Leicester have got more quality. That’s why they’re sitting where they are in the league, so I think they can punish you a lot more, so it’ll be a really, really tough game. We’ve struggled when we played them away. We didn’t really get the hang of it. They scored some good goals, but I thought we did really well in the cup and were a bit unlucky there. It’ll be a tough game. They’re not going through a great patch, so both teams will be trying to get that win.”
