Leicester continued their impressive start to the 2023/24 season at Leigh Sports Village last weekend, as a second half goal from captain Aileen Whelan earned City a point against Manchester United, keeping their unbeaten record across all competitions.
The draw followed an first win in Group B of the Continental Tyres League against Liverpool at Pirelli Stadium, and back-to-back WSL wins over Everton and Bristol City on the opening day at Ashton Gate.
The Foxes now head back home this weekend to take on league leaders Manchester City, another team currently unbeaten and with seven points in the league. Ahead of the 5:15pm BST kick-off, Leicester's Manager confirmed he will have a near-fully fit squad at his disposal after a busy period in the fixture list.
"We’re looking healthy," Kirk told the media during Thursday's press conference. "Everyone has come through a three game week, and performed well. We've tested them since, and they're still setting individual records, so we're happy with how the squad is at the moment.
"We’ve increased our workload but the players have responded well and we don’t have anything new to report on. Remy [Siemsen] remains out, but is recovering well, but barring any late incidences, it will be a fully fit squad available to us to face Man City."
