Leicester City’s Under-21s have reached the quarter-finals at Soccer Sevens
The Foxes will meet Brighton & Hove Albion in the Main Cup last-eight stage
Silko Thomas assessed Saturday’s performances; which included two wins from three
City remain unbeaten and topped Group D, with the attacker wanting more of the same

City cruised through to the knockout stages as Group D winners and will now face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Main Cup Quarter-Finals on Sunday after the Seagulls finished second in Group B.

“It was a really good job from the boys today,” the 19-year-old commented following the conclusion of Saturday's fixtures at Hong Kong Football Club. “We're all buzzing and just looking forward to tomorrow, now.

“Same thing, get some good results, hopefully get to the final. That's our main push. We’ll rest and recover and we'll be back at it again tomorrow.”

Defeating Singapore Cricket Club and Tai Po without conceding a goal, either side of a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United, there were plenty of encouraging signs from the young Foxes, who also had to show their character to come from a goal down against the Magpies.

The attacker continued: “For sure, after beating them (Singapore) we just knew that we're good enough to go on to beat Newcastle. Obviously, we didn't get the result that we wanted, a draw, but the boys still did well.

“It's not easy when you go down one nil, because teams can just lock off and that'll be it. But the boys kept on pushing. We didn't get put our head down, just kept on working and managed to get a result.”

The former Chelsea forward etched his name onto the scoresheet in game three, although there was some debate as to whether he managed to get a touch on Wanya Marçal's free-kick to direct it into the net, via the upright.

Thomas added: “We've just shown in the last match against Tai Po, we put it out there and that's it. Some would argue different, but that was my goal. It touched my stud so I'll take that one.”
