The Foxes have been drawn in Group G of the Northern Section of the competition and are among 16 invited Under-21s teams that will compete against Sky Bet League 1 and League 2 sides in the tournament.

An away trip to Accrington Stanley follows on Tuesday 5 October (7:45pm kick-off), before City’s youngsters travel to Holker Street to take on Barrow on Tuesday 9 November (7:45pm kick-off).
