- Leicester City suffered a 3-1 defeat by Leeds United at King Power Stadium on Sunday- Harvey Barnes' opener was overturned by efforts from Stuart Dallas, Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison- Manager Brendan Rodgers was disappointed by the way in which his side conceded on Filbert Way- He was nonetheless pleased to see Barnes add his 11th goal of the 2020/21 season so far
Unbeaten since mid-December, the Foxes went into the fixture on the back of nine games without defeat in all competitions, and they were ahead on 13 minutes through Harvey Barnes.
However, Stuart Dallas almost immediately restored parity on the scoresheet before an otherwise even contest was settled by late efforts from Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison on Filbert Way.
Rodgers admitted he was frustrated by the nature of the goals which City conceded in the game during his post-match debrief with LCFC TV.
"[They were] disappointing goals to concede and we just didn't quite have enough to finish opportunities," the Northern Irishman said at full-time at King Power Stadium.
"The game was very stretched and the game was very broken today. [There were] lots of fouls, lots of stops and starts in the game.
"You have to cope with that because that's the physical nature of their work and how they play. I thought, at times, we didn't cope with that so well."
However, Rodgers was nonetheless pleased with the efforts of Barnes, whose early effort - his 11th of the campaign in all competitions - put the Foxes in front.
"It was a brilliant goal," the 48-year-old added. "His speed and getting up the pitch.., and then the nice little one-two with Madders (James Maddison) and he finishes its so, so well.
"I think that's 11 goals he's on, which is great for him."
