Days after a loss to Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village, City are back on their travels midweek, this time to south west London to face the league leaders.
Ahead of the test in the capital here are the main talking points from Miquel’s preview of the fixture…
‘We’re prepared for Chelsea’

Having just faced the Red Devils, it only provides a couple of days for Miquel to prepare her side for the Blues, but she stated that preparations have already been completed, with each player knowing what they need to do.
“We are already prepared for this game against Chelsea,” the Manager explained. “We’ve got two sessions to touch up on a few things, but everyone knows the qualities of each players and what job we have to do.
“It’s a game for us where we have nothing to lose so we will see what happens.”
‘Be aggressive’

The Manager quoted the second half display against Man Utd as the benchmark for what’s needed on Wednesday night.
Admitting it will be about getting players back up to speed for the clash, Miquel has faith in the training regime to allow ample time for recovery and preparation.
“We will review now how everyone is feeling because after the international games, we need to check how the players are doing,” she added.
“We will do our best to get the fittest 11 players ready for Wednesday and be as aggressive as the second half against Man Utd.”
‘Another good test’
Chelsea drew 2-2 with Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.

No Leicester fan will forget the reverse fixture in December, in which Missy Goodwin’s strike helped the Foxes gain a point against the current WSL champions.
Admitting that the draw at King Power Stadium will have only added fuel to the Chelsea fire, the Manager looks forward to the test against a formidable opponent.
“It’s a different game to when we faced them at home,” Miquel explained. “They are still hurt from the draw in December so we can expect them to be more aggressive.
“It will be another good test for us to see how well we can compete against them.”
