She also shared positive news on City’s international cohort of players
The young England midfielder had to be withdrawn during defeat on the road at Chelsea early last month and is currently undergoing treatment with the medical team at Belvoir Drive.
While Tuesday’s trip to Arsenal will come too soon for the 21-year-old to be back involved, she is progressing through the necessary stages of rehabilitation, City’s Manager revealed, during her pre-match press conference with the media.

Miquel explained on Mace: “She’s following the expected return time that we plan. We have to be cautious because there can be differences and we’ll adapt as we go on. But I hope she will soon be able to play.” Elsewhere, Miquel reported no serious issues among the players who returned from cross-continent international duty this week, while there was a period of recovery following the Tottenham Hotspur stalemate for those who did not head off with the national team.
“Obviously they return with some of them playing two 90 minutes, which is never ideal,” the 41-year-old added. “There is a bit of soreness around some players, but, overall, it could have been worse and it was a good window.
“It was also a good opportunity for those [other players] to rest. What’s hard is the ones that go very far. The ones that have a two or three-hour flight have less of an impact than those who have to travel across the world, but it’s trying to reduce the distance of travelling.”
