CJ Bott reacted to the win and her first Club goal
Reaching over 60 appearances for the Club, Wednesday evening saw popular full-back Bott score her first Leicester goal, latching onto the end of Missy Goodwin's cross. Despite not qualifying for the knockout stages of the competition, the New Zealand international was proud of the performance and delighted to finally see some goals flowing within the team.
"It was definitely a performance we needed," Bott stated. We've been so desperate to score goals and that was the confidence boost we needed going into the last game of the year.
Netting her first Leicester goal.
"It's incredible to start scoring more goals which is what we've been aiming for and great to get one for myself. I'm really happy and proud to get my first goal for Leicester."
Leicester now head home to King Power Stadium where they'll end the calendar year with a Barclays Women's Super League outing against Chelsea on Saturday with a 12pm GMT kick-off.
Bott added: "I think we've shown that we've capable of putting out a team to get a good performance. We can put out a team that can defend well and now are capable of scoring so if we can take that into this weekend's game, we'll be okay."
