An away visit to Everton follows their win against Liverpool on Sunday
Just a second win of the season, Cayman stated the significance that three points and the winning feeling can have for the Foxes in the second phase of the Barclays Women's Super League campaign. "We're super happy with this team performance today because it wasn't easy to be 1-0 down after two minutes and get something so we showed character," our captain announced.
Netting a first goal of the season.
"It meant a lot to score today, especially after I missed that chance last week. It was good to get the team back level and then I thought Missy [Goodwin] did well to get the winner." Struggling for so long with an ever-growing injury list, the 36-year-old was delighted to see Shannon O'Brien and Sam Tierney come back into the fold and impress. Much very a team performance, the experienced midfielder explained how the fine details have made the difference this term, and how we need to take the confidence and momentum forward into the next game.
Cayman added: "It is tough (when dealing with injuries), because at the start of the season, you have everyone available. It's not been easy but we're a team and at the end of the day I think we deserved that win.
Making the difference on Sunday afternoon.
"It came down to details. The goal we had against us was unlucky and that can happen to anybody. We were just efficient in front of goal today and we need to build on this.
"It's always nice to have injured players back on the pitch and you can see today how important it was to have them, and the girls coming off the bench today did their job well so it was a beautiful team performance.
"It's important to get this win and have momentum for the game next week, so we need to enjoy this but then put our feet back on the ground and prepare for the next."
