Leicester City will tackle Queens Park Rangers at King Power Stadium in the Emirates FA Cup
The third-round tie will take place over the weekend of Saturday 11 January, 2025
Ticket information and confirmed dates are yet to be confirmed
The Foxes, one-time winners in 2021, will start their 2024/25 campaign on Filbert Way with a test against Sky Bet Championship outfit QPR. Managed by Martí Cifuentes, it’s been a tough campaign so far for the R’s, who find themselves battling against relegation from the second tier as the festive season approaches.
Last season, as City lifted the EFL Championship title, Harry Winks’ late stunner sealed a 2-1 success for the visitors in the capital, although QPR got revenge with a 2-1 victory of their own on their last visit to King Power Stadium the following March.
Unlike Leicester, QPR have never lifted the FA Cup, but did reach the final in 1981/82, taking the showpiece to a replay. Glenn Hoddle, though, hit a sixth-minute penalty to eventually win the final for Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
Ties will be played over the weekend of Saturday 11 January, 2025. That means the third-round clash will fall between a Premier League visit to Aston Villa on Saturday 4 January and the home clash with Crystal Palace on Wednesday 15 January.
Confirmed fixture dates and relevant ticket information will be confirmed shortly.
