After already featuring for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, the 18-year-old England youth international – an attacking midfielder – is now braced for his first loan spell away from Etihad Stadium with the Foxes in the Sky Bet Championship.
It’s a big challenge for Mukasa, but one he’s looking forward to, as he begins to get settled in Seagrave ahead of Saturday’s visit to Birmingham City.

“I’m really excited to get started,” he told us this week. “I’m looking forward to showing what I can do in front of all the fans, especially in men’s football.
“I’ve been brought into the Club for a purpose so it’s just up to me now to show what I can do.”
A back-to-back FA Youth Cup winner, with six senior Man City appearances to his name, Mukasa is hoping to build on that experience in the middle of a competitive senior campaign. He’s also got friends from England duty – and fellow new recruits going through similar – to help him adapt to life at Leicester.

“It was good to get a sniff of what senior football’s like,” he added. “Especially playing with some of the best players in the world, you learn a lot. Even in training, not just games, so it’s been a top experience.
“I know Jeremy [Monga] from England. I’ve been speaking with a few of the new lads as well. It’s always good to come in not being the only new one. That helps. It makes it easer to settle in. You’re going through the same thing.
“I’d say I’m a creative, attacking midfielder. I’m going to look to score and assist goals and just push the team. Getting on the ball, taking risks, just pushing the team forward whenever I can. That’s the sort of player I am.”
