The young forward joins the Foxes until the end of the 25/26 season, aiming to power us up the Sky Bet Championship table in his first loan spell away from the Blues.
Enthused and motivated to be in a new environment, it’s time to get down to business, he says, hoping to show his qualities in front of goal with 16 league matches remaining this season.
“It’s a good feeling to be at this massive Club with great history,” the 20-year-old commented during his first interview here. “And I can’t wait to get started and see the Foxes fans. I’m very excited and can’t wait to start scoring some goals for the Club.
“[It’s my] first loan and I think the first part of my career where I start playing men’s football, get that experience and we go from there. I can play no.9, no.7 and a bit of no.10. It’s a bit of exposure and showing the world what I can do.”
Getting a first training session under his belt in Seagrave, the attacker believes he can take experiences from the national team to use to his advantage, having earned 14 senior caps for Jamaica, while national team-mate Bobby De Cordova-Reid helped make the decision to come here an easy one.
“The intensity was high and I’m used to that with Chelsea and Jamaica first team,” the Port Royal native added. I’m just locked in and adapting.
“My team-mates, all the players have been welcoming. I’m happy for that. There’s good people here but it’s a bit cold! Not like London. It helps a lot to know [others].
“I know Silko [Thomas] and Bobby is a massive part of me joining Leicester. He messaged me one day and said: ‘it’s a good club with great history and I think you should come to develop your talent’.”
