After successful tournaments in USA and Portugal, this year focuses on English clubs battling it out in the capital, with all matches taking place at Gtech Community Stadium, the home of Brentford FC.

Eight different sides have been invited to the 7-a-side competition, including Leicester City, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, London City Lionesses, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, with each playing three group games, bidding to progress through to Saturday’s semi-finals and final.

For us, we’ll start our World Sevens campaign against London City Lionesses at 4pm on Thursday afternoon, before facing Chelsea in the day’s final fixture, kicking off at 8pm.

On Friday we have just the one game, against Everton at 5pm. Should we reach the final day, the semi-finals will take place on Saturday at 11am and 12pm, before the final two teams face off in the final at 2:30pm.

Here’s a confirmed list of fixtures…

Thursday 28 May

London City Lionesses vs. LCFC Women (4pm kick-off)
Chelsea vs. LCFC Women (8pm kick-off)

Friday 29 May

Everton vs. LCFC Women (5pm kick-off)

Saturday 30 May

Semi-Final 1 (11am kick-off)
Semi-Final 2 (12pm kick-off)
Final (2:30pm kick-off)

We have a squad of 17 players ready to represent the Club, including two goalkeepers and 15 outfielders. As a seven-a-side tournament, there are roll-on/roll-off substitutes, which will come in handy during the high temperatures we’re expecting.

With a mix of talent and abilities across the pitch, Club captain Sam Tierney will lead the Foxes, which also includes the likes of Emily van Egmond, Hannah Cain, Jutta Rantala, along with returning loanees Nelly Las and Simone Sherwood.
