Three games into the WSL season, and we sit eighth with one win, most recently falling to a narrow defeat at the hands of Chelsea at Kingsmeadow last weekend.
But focus now switches to the League Cup this Wednesday, as we travel to the JobServe Community Stadium to take on Ipswich.
Kicking off at 7:30pm, Rick Passmoor will lead Leicester against the lowest-placed team in the second division, but a recently promoted side who have knowledge of winning football games.
Ipswich in focus
Ipswich Town currently play in WSL2.
The Suffolk side, newly-promoted from the FA Women's National League Premier Division, are looking to find their feet in the second tier of women's football, picking up their first point last weekend at the Valley, as they drew 0-0 with Charlton Athletic.
Now off the mark for the season, Ipswich remain bottom of the division, level on points with Sheffield United, but are yet to score a goal since obtaining their WSL2 status.
However, this doesn't mean that Wednesday's opponents will be a pushover, having won the FA WNL South just four months ago, topping the table with 17 wins from 22; six points ahead of second-placed Hashtag United.
The Foxes camp
We were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea at the weekend.
After a rocky start to the season, we have started to stabilise ourselves, with a squad full of new players learning a new system, most recently challenging the reigning WSL champions, Chelsea. Going toe-to-toe all game, a single goal was all that separated the sides.
In front of goal, our only strike the season, from summer signing Emily van Egmond, was enough to dispatch Liverpool and supply us with a maiden win.
Crystal Palace and London City Lionesses are the other teams making up Group D, and Passmoor will know that a positive result at the home of Colchester United this week will put us in a good stead for the games to come.
