Returning to Seagrave for the start of a summer schedule designed to prepare our squad for the fast-approaching Sky Bet Championship campaign, it’s been straight to work during the opening days of training.
The intensity around the group is clear, Stolarczyk says, showing a determination to start as we mean to go on as we get up to speed for the rigours of the season to come.

“It’s been good,” the 24-year-old told us earlier this week. “It was a good break but it’s nice to be back doing what I love and last week I was eager to come in, start working and have a ball in my hands again.
“There’s still things that I need to get back to in timing and all the little details that we work on in pre-season, but I do feel like I’ve come back in good shape and happy with where I am right now. All I’m going to be doing is working hard to be in the best form.
“The weather is helping a little bit but it’s still pretty physical and tough. The first couple of days are all about getting back the feeling with the ball and gradually the work is going to be increasing.

Imagery from day three of pre-season as intense training continues on the grass at our base in Seagrave.
“Everyone has come back fresh and you can see it in the first couple of sessions that we’ve had. The lads have been on it and want to prove themselves and work hard to be in the best shape possible when the season kicks off.
“He (Andy King) has been great with the lads in keeping the attitude and intensity up, which hasn’t been a problem anyway. He’s been a player himself and we all know how good he was and how good he is now with everything that he’s doing.
“We all came back with the feeling that we want to get this Club back up to where it deserves it be. We had to reflect on last season in our time off and now it’s all about making things right going into this season and making the most of it.”

The upcoming friendly versus Peterborough United on Saturday, City’s first of pre-season, which is set for a 12:30pm BST kick-off at LCFC Training Ground, is an ideal opportunity to get used to playing again and bring that fitness back into everyone’s legs.
“There’s only so much you can do on the training pitch,” the Polish shot-stopper admitted. “Nothing tests your fitness and abilities as much as the games so it’s good to have the first friendly straight away on Saturday at the end of the first week.
“We’re all looking forward to getting those first minutes under our belts.”
Watch the encounter with Peterborough live on our YouTube channel or Foxes Hub, which will be the home of all pre-season matches this summer, while tickets remain available for our final friendly against Fiorentina at King Power Stadium.
