Jeremy Monga completes permanent transfer to Manchester City
Academy graduate joined Leicester City at Under-9s level
Winger made his first team debut at the age of 15 in April 2025
Jeremy leaves with our thanks and best wishes for the future
The 17-year-old winger departs after progressing through our Academy, having joined us at Under-9s level and developed through the age groups to break into our First Team setup over the last two seasons.
Jeremy made history in April 2025 when he made his First Team debut in the Premier League against Newcastle United at King Power Stadium, aged 15 years and 271 days, becoming our second-youngest appearance maker and one of the youngest players ever to feature in the highest tier of English football.
He went on to make seven Premier League appearances during the 2024/25 season, before scoring his first senior goal for us against Preston North End in the Championship last term, becoming the youngest-ever goalscorer for Leicester City.
Jeremy’s progress through the Academy and into the First Team reflects the continued strength of our player development pathway, which has consistently provided opportunities for a significant number of young players to progress into senior football in recent seasons.
Everyone at Leicester City would like to thank Jeremy for his contribution to the Football Club and wish him well in the next stage of his career.
