The on-loan Foxes midfielder made his senior international bow for Nigeria back in 2019, during an away match in Ukraine and it was a debut to remember, scoring just four minutes into the friendly in Dnipro.
He's gone on to be capped 34 times to date for the Super Eagles, part of the squad which reached the Africa Cup of Nations Final in 2023, finishing as runners-up to hosts Ivory Coast, having also featured in the 2021 tournament.
"I have two [proudest moments]," the 29-year-old told us. "One is representing Nigeria, my country. I've played in the AFCON Final, but just making my debut, that's an honour.
"And scoring in the game, also, it's just an unbelievable feeling. It was a proud moment for my family and my Dad especially."
It was with parent club Southampton that Aribo made his Premier League debut, against Tottenham Hotspur, prior to finding the net during his second game in the top-flight, at St. Mary's Stadium in August 2022.
"My second is playing in the Premier League and scoring," he revealed. "It was at home for Southampton, we played against Leeds United. I came on and ended up scoring.
"Someone squared it across the box and I was going to shoot left-footed but someone came over so I had to bring it onto my right, megged the 'keeper, and then shot right-footed back across goal. We were 2-0 down, it sparked a comeback and we ended up drawing 2-2."
