It’s Wrexham away up next for the Foxes in the Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday night
The fixture comes just three days after a late M69 Derby defeat at Coventry City
Jordan James scored at the CBS Arena and has been in impressive form since joining on loan
The midfielder previewed our trip to STōK Cae Ras, an 8pm kick-off in north east Wales
The Foxes headed back up the M69 with nothing to show for their efforts at Coventry Building Society Arena, with James’ opening goal cancelled out by Ellis Simms prior to Haji Wright’s late winner for the Sky Blues, leaving us 13th in the Sky Bet Championship. There’ll little time to dwell on those frustrations, however, with a trip to Wrexham on the horizon on Tuesday evening (8pm kick-off).
“Obviously, it was a tough day,” the on-loan Rennes midfielder reflected. “I thought we were outstanding in the first half, we were excellent. In the second half, we sort of lost our way a little bit. Coming out for the second half, it was obviously tough conceding so early again.
“But we regroup. We've got a lot of games in a small amount of time now and hopefully we can pick up some points. That desire, the want to fight, the want to win - we need that every single game. That's probably the biggest thing that we want.”
The Wales international scored his first goal in a Leicester shirt against our next opponents and has now taken his tally to nine for the season after hitting the back of the net once more at the weekend. But he’d trade another strike of his own for gaining three points at STōK Cae Ras.
“I'm looking forward to it,” the 21-year-old continued. “Obviously, last time out at home, that was my first goal for the Club, so hopefully I can do it again and see some familiar faces.
“I'm really confident at the moment, obviously scoring goals, playing well, and hopefully that carries on. It'd be lovely to do it there, obviously, but I just want the best for the team. As long as we win the game, I don't care if I score or not.”
