Amandine Miquel provided a fitness update ahead of Chelsea
LCFC Women face the league leaders at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday evening
Defender Sari Kees may be out with an injury, as could Hlín Eiríksdóttir
Karla Torres' absence at Manchester United was fitness-related
It's a tight turnaround for the Foxes, who head to the capital to face Chelsea on Wednesday evening, only days after a 2-0 loss on the road against Manchester United. Icelandic international Hlín Eiríksdóttir was taken off at half-time and, providing a fitness update on her squad, the Manager admitted it is too early to tell if she will be back midweek. Karla Torres could return for Chelsea.
"I don't know yet about Hlín," Miquel stated during Monday's press conference. "She came off at half-time but it's too early to know if she's ready."
Miquel went on to talk about Kees, who hasn't been in the XI since the reverse fixture in December, and said that the defender felt pain during a recent international match, and is likely to be sidelined for the Blues. However, Torres, who was absent for our trip to Leigh Sports Village, is fully fit and available for selection.
"Sari [Kees] is carrying an injury," Miquel continued. "She felt some pain in the second game with Belgium so we're waiting to see but I doubt she will be available for Wednesday."
"Karla is doing very well, and enjoying life here at the moment. We decided to rest her at the weekend but she's fully fit."
