  • The Manager provided a fitness update heading into the break
Searching for our first win of 2026, and a response from last weekend's loss to Liverpool, Passmoor spoke to the media at Belvoir Drive, providing an update on the squad's fitness levels.
Admitting there are still some longer-term absentees, the Manager spoke about central defenders Sari Kees and Chantelle Swaby, who missed out on our last trip to St. Helens Stadium after picking up small injuries while on international duty.
"We've got the long-term ones, in terms of Liv Clark, Jutta [Rantala], Heather [Payne] and Celeste [Boureille]," Passmoor said. "Sarah Mayling is unavailable against her parent club and Emily [van Egmond] is away with Australia.
Mouchon will be unavailable for this weekend.
Mouchon will be unavailable for this weekend.
"Elsewhere, Sari [Kees] will need another week, Noémie [Mouchon] will need another week, she's not on the grass yet, and she is working hard with the medical team.
"With Chantelle [Swaby], we've had her back on the pitch a little bit more. She had quite a lot of travelling when playing with Jamaica, and last week was last minute if needs must, but we need to make sure she is ready for the final run-in so she's in contention for this weekend but we'll make the call late on."
The Manager finished off on a positive note, announcing that Rantala has hit an important milestone in her recovery.
"The great news today is that Jutta has had her first run on grass," Passmoor stated. "Which is important as everyone knows how good she is and the quality she brings so that's a positive step in her recovery."
