Following on from our loss to Liverpool this weekend, we're looking to bounce back on home soil when Aston Villa make the short trip across the Midlands this weekend.
Searching for our first win of 2026, here is a look at both teams, current form, and how you can follow along with the action...
Villa in focus
Villa held out for a draw against Man City last time out.
The Villans head into the game in ninth position, with 17 points from as many games, winning four across the season, and currently eight ahead of the Foxes at the foot of the Barclays Women's Super League.
Kirsty Hanson has been their star of the campaign, netting eight times in the league this season, six more than Rachel Daly, but are more thankful for their defensive line last weekend, holding off the advances of Manchester City to hold the current league leaders to a draw at Villa Park.
A mad 7-3 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, in which Hanson scored a brace, came prior to that, while they now head into their first away fixture since early February - a trip to Filbert Way on Sunday.
The Foxes camp
City are searching for a first win of 2026.
Rick Passmoor and his side have had to endure a tough start to the year, failing to pick up any points in our first five games since 1 January, most recently losing 2-0 to Liverpool at St. Helens Stadium.
The Foxes do have experience in this position, however, and also boast a decent record against Villa, going four unbeaten against the WSL side, keeping a clean sheet on the last three occasions.
That might be needed once again on home turf this weekend, as the lowest scorers in the league (with eight) have failed to find the net since an own goal from West Ham United defender Eva Nyström back in January.
