Initially moving to King Power Stadium on a short-term loan from Aston Villa, the full-back impressed the City supporters, despite relegation from WSL1.
Completing the move to Leicester, Mayling is ready to get going and make amends, with pre-season preparation already underway at Belvoir Drive.
Sarah Mayling spent the second half of last season on loan at Leicester.
“During my time here, everyone made me feel welcome and valued,” the defender explained. “I’m buzzing to be back permanently.
“I think we’re in a whole new phase now; we’re trying to rebuild the Club and the team. It’s about sticking together, embracing the challenge and going for it.”
Talking ambitions for this season.
Getting promoted from the second division is no easy task, which Mayling admits, but with the right attitude, direction and support from the fans, believes it is always possible.
“You have to be ambitious,” Mayling continued. “This league is really hard to get out of, we know that, but as a squad, we want to be back in the top league so we need to use pre-season to get ready, and bring on the season.”
