Rick Passmoor gave an update on the City squad ahead of our trip to WSL champions Chelsea
Winger Missy Goodwin remains sidelined with injury and will miss Sunday's clash
French striker Noémie Mouchon is back in contention after a good week of training
Fixtures get no harder in women's football than travelling to the home of the six-consecutive-time top flight winners, who have unsurprisingly started this season well; beating Manchester City and Aston Villa.
In the build-up to the game, a 12pm BST kick-off at Kingsmeadow on Sunday, Passmoor shared an update on the squad, specifically speaking about two forwards who have yet to make an appearance this term. One of which, winger Goodwin, picked up an injury in pre-season.
With the group this week.
"Missy [Goodwin] is still with the medical team," the Interim Manager explained. "She'll be staying behind (this weekend) to work and get extra minutes on the grass. She's unavailable for selection."
Another attacking player that has yet to be utilised by Passmoor is Mouchon, but he confirmed that, after a hard week of training at Belvoir Drive, our No.9 is in the debate for this weekend's travelling squad.
"Noemie [Mouchon] has done well this week, she's in a good place and I've been impressed with her ethic and desire," Passmoor stated. "The group (of coaching staff) will be collaborating on the decision but she is available for selection against Chelsea."
