A fourth test in pre-season ended in defeat to the WSL1 side; however, it was the home side who opened the scoring through Tierney inside the first 10 minutes.

Taking a touch on the edge of the box, the midfielder sent her bouncing effort beyond the stretch of the Toffees' goalkeeper, ensuring a goal in each of our three home matches at Belvoir Drive.

Sam Tierney opened the scoring.

After an encouraging opening period, the travelling side took control of the game with their equaliser and found themselves 3-1 up at the break.

The second half saw the rain start to fall, but the Foxes scored next through youngster Draper. Unfortunately, the game was put out of reach when Everton scored a fourth, but the minutes were nevertheless valuable as our WSL2 campaign looms closer.

New signing Poppy Pritchard was involved in the game.

Taking on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday 6 September, our first home test at King Power Stadium comes a week later, when we welcome Durham.
