LCFC Women are back in action next weekend
We face Liverpool at St. Helens Stadium
Tickets for the game and Fox Travel are available HERE
The current international break has come at a good time for Rick Passmoor’s side, which has broken up a run of five consecutive losses in 2026.
Work doesn’t stop, however, with preparation for an all-important clash on the road at Liverpool next up on the cards once the whole squad is back together at Belvoir Drive.
Our Foxes make the trip to St. Helens Stadium on Sunday 15 March for an 11:55am kick-off, currently one point behind Liverpool after 15 games played.
Our last league win came against London City Lionesses in December.
Leicester do hold a game advantage against most of the division, and with just two points separating the bottom three sides, things are heating up in the fight for top flight survival.
At the end of this season, the WSL will expand to 14 teams, with both first and second place in WSL2 earning automatic promotion to the top flight, while third place will take on 12th in the WSL in a winner takes all fight for the final spot in next year’s division.
Not wanting to add that extra game to the calendar, a win on Merseyside will take City above the Reds and West Ham United, who took three points from King Power Stadium in January.
Following on from that fixture, we have consecutive home games against Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion, having taken one point against the Villans in a goalless meeting earlier this term.
Seven games remain for the Foxes, who are one point behind Liverpool at the foot of the WSL.
Another crucial game follows in the form of a meeting with London City Lionesses in south London at the end of April. Passmoor’s side have come out on top twice already this season against the newly promoted side, winning both 1-0 in the Subway Women’s League Cup, and the reverse WSL fixture.
Our game in hand is against the two-time WSL winners Arsenal, at Emirates Stadium, on Wednesday 29 April (7pm kick-off) before a final Filbert Way showdown against the current champions, Chelsea, that following Sunday afternoon.
The regular season ends for us at Goodison Park, when we take on Everton in the third weekend of May. The qualification match will then take place afterwards between third place in the WSL2, and whoever sits at the bottom of the WSL.
