Janice Cayman and Sari Kees make appearances in Belgium's two fixtures
Australia's Emily van Egmond starts twice, while Chantelle Swaby remained on Jamaica's bench
Olivia McLoughlin, Cecily Wellesley-Smith and Nelly Las all involved for the young Lionesses
Nine LCFC Women players were called up to represent their countries during the break; Cain one of those as Wales spent a week in the south of Spain for two friendlies fixtures.
Both Olivia Clark and Cain were named in the starting line-up against South Korea, which ended a 1-1 draw, before the Red Dragons claimed a 3-2 victory over Switzerland in midweek.
Cain started once more, and found the net in extraordinary fashion with a looped effort from the edge of the box, while Clark was an unused substitute in the game.
Elsewhere, Janice Cayman and Sari Kees were involved in two matches for Belgium, who beat Switzerland 2-1 last Friday evening, before drawing with Finland in a game that ended one apiece.
McLoughlin featured for the England Under-23s over the break.
Both City players were brought off the bench against Switzerland to witness Tinne De Caigny’s winner, earning starts in a second friendly for the Red Flames.
We had three players involved in the England setup, two for the Under-20s, in the form of Nelly Las and Cecily Wellesley-Smith, and Olivia McLoughlin who was included in Emma Coates’ Under-23s squad.
McLoughlin came off the bench in a 1-0 win over Norway before she earned a start on Monday evening, as the young Lionesses lost out 4-2 to USA.
Wellesley-Smith started all three games for the Under-20s, who beat China 2-1, lost 4-1 to USA before finishing with a 3-2 victory over Mexico. Las’ only appearance came against USA, in which she also made the starting line-up.
Representing the Matildas.
Further afield, Emily van Egmond started twice in Australia for the Matildas, who beat neighbours New Zealand 5-0 and 2-0 in friendly action.
Playing 77 minutes in the first affair, which included goals from Hayley Raso and Ellie Carpenter, the City midfielder registered an assist for Kyra Conney-Cross shortly before her withdrawal.
Lastly to Jamaica, where Chantelle Swaby was an unused substitute in the Reggae Girlz's first group stage game for CONCACAF Qualification.
A dominant performance, which resulted in an 18-0 win over Dominica leaves Jamaica top of Group B, with a healthy goal difference.
The Foxes now rejoin back up at Belvoir Drive for our two final home WSL clashes of 2025 as we take on Manchester City and London City Lionesses at King Power Stadium, with tickets still available.
