During what was a first break for international fixtures this season, 10 of our Foxes represented their national sides, mainly across Europe.
Focusing, first of all, on the Nations League, a handful of our players were involved in crucial promotion/relegation matches, with four Leicester players going head-to-head.
Republic of Ireland, who started in League B, took on Belgium who were in League A, across two games; the first of which ended 4-2 in favour of Ireland – Katie Keane and Heather Payne were unused substitutes, while Janice Cayman and Sari Kees played the full game for the Red Flames.
Belgium came back to win 2-1 in the reverse fixture, in which Kees and Cayman played once again, but it was Ireland who claimed victory over the two legs, therefore swapping league positions with Belgium.

Elsewhere in the competition, Jutta Rantala played twice for Finland, starting once, as they took on Denmark in an attempt to gain promotion to League A.
Losing 6-1 in the first game, Lotta Lindstrõm scored a consolation in Tampere, Finland, before the Finnish side lost out 2-0 in the next fixture, as Kathrine Møller and Pernille Harder scored second half goals to confirm an 8-1 win on aggregate – keeping Finland in League B.
The last Fox to play in a winner-takes-all play-off was Hlín Eiríksdóttir, whose Iceland team took on Northern Ireland for the pride of remaining in League A. The City striker played 69 minutes in the first game as they claimed a 2-0 victory.
In the reverse fixture, meanwhile, Eiríksdóttir started once again, and found the net in the second half at AVIS völlurinn in Reykjavik. A 3-0 win kept Finland in the top league.
Wales were involved in friendly action over the break, meanwhile, first of all losing 2-1 to Australia, in which Hannah Cain started against her former Leicester team-mate, Courtney Nevin, who opened the scoring for the Matildas. The Dragons then fell to a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Poland, with Olivia Clark between the sticks at Rodney Parade.

At youth level, we had three players involved in the younger ages group of England’s setup. Olivia McLoughlin, who was called up for the Under-23s, played in both games, which included a 5-0 loss to Germany and a 1-1 draw with Portugal.
Included in the Under-19s were Nelly Las and Cecily Wellesley-Smith, who had three qualification games in round one of the UEFA European Women’s Under-19 Championship.
Both Leicester players started the first game, a 6-0 win against Estonia. Las was then a substitute in a 4-0 victory over Greece. Wellesley-Smith made it three starts from three in a 1-1 draw with Austria, with Las coming off the bench in the second half to see the Young Lionesses top Group 3.
Finally, Noémie Mouchon, who returned to action earlier this year following a long spell on the sidelines with injury, earned minutes for France Under-23s, who drew twice, first against Portugal in a goalless stalemate, before a 2-2 draw with Norway.
The squad now join back up together again for a WSL return, when we face Arsenal at King Power Stadium this Sunday (12pm GMT kick-off).
