Pritchard joins Leicester with valuable senior experience gained in Scotland, where regular first team football played a key role in her development. The move also reunites her with fellow new recruit Leah Eddie, as she prepares for the next chapter of her career in the East Midlands.

Speaking after completing the transfer, the versatile attacker highlighted the importance of her time at Celtic and her excitement about becoming a Fox.

Poppy Pritchard has signed a three-year-deal with the Foxes.

“Being out on loan at Celtic really helped my development, getting games under my belt,” Pritchard stated. “I also know a couple of the girls, I know Leah [Eddie], who just signed, so I’ve got some familiar faces already.

“I’m super excited to sign for the Club, I think they have loads of ambition, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Pritchard's arrival strengthens our options ahead of the new campaign, as we look to mount a serious challenge for promotion.

The young forward has come through the ranks at Manchester City.

With experience gained through consistent senior football and a clear desire to contribute in attacking areas of the pitch, she’s aiming to make an immediate impact in a City side determined to return to the top-flight.

“Leicester have a past of being in the WSL, and all the girls want to get back there,” Pritchard added. “They’re an ambitious club, and I want to be a part of a team that wants to do well and win.

“I want to get forward, hopefully score some goals and be an exciting player for the fans to watch.”
