There's plenty happening on Filbert Way this weekend as we welcome London City Lionesses for a final Barclays Women's Super League bout in 2025.

Make sure to be with us and cheer on the team as we look to close out the year on a high, with any tickets in the Walkers Hall lounge also gaining entry to festive fun, hosted by Filbert Fox!

London City in focus

London City sit mid-table in the WSL, but lost to Brighton last time out.

This year's newly-promoted side have wasted no time in putting themselves among the top sides in the country, sitting comfortably in sixth, having won half of their opening 10 games of the season.

Heavy recruitment in the summer saw the likes of Katie Zelem, Grace Geyoro and Nikita Parris join the London outfit, as they look to not only retain their WSL 1 status, but to challenge some of the division's elite in their first season.

The side, coached by Jocelyn Precheur, did lose 1-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, however, and of course the Foxes have already beaten the Lionesses once this year already, when Jutta Rantala scored the only goal in a Subway Women's League Cup win back in October.

We lost out to Man City last time on Filbert Way.

Things have stalled a little for Rick Passmoor's squad in recent times, beaten 3-0 by Manchester City last weekend, who extended their lead at the top of the WSL, following the break, having lost out to Crystal Palace in the League Cup a couple of weeks prior.

Struggling with injuries to the likes of Noémie Mouchon and Jutta Rantala, who as mentioned had already found the net against Sunday's counterparts, the squad was boosted by the return of Missy Goodwin, who made her first appearance of this term against Man City.

This weekend's game will be our last for near on a month, and therefore would be a perfect opportunity to record a second win of the campaign, and keep some distance between us and bottom-placed Liverpool.

Filbert Fox is having a Christmas party in the Walkers Hall this Sunday!

Make sure to join us for our final game of 2025, with tickets for the WSL game on Filbert Way still available. Adult tickets are priced at £10, with over-65s and under-22s £6, under-12s £4 and under-8s free.

Happening this weekend is Filbert Fox's Festive Fixture, and you can gain entry by purchasing seating in the Walkers Hall; priced at £25 for adults, £18 for over-65s and under-22s, £15 for under-18s, and £10 for under-16s, each ticket will have access to padded seating, a live DJ performance and for those younger supporters, a free festive gift from Filbert himself!
