Tottenham put an end to our winning streak on home soil, but a second half own goal, forced by Hannah Cain’s initial shot, meant that an unbeaten home run, stretching back to November, remains strong.
A little disappointed with how her side initially got to grips with the game, Miquel, reacting to the draw, took learning points from the 90 minutes.
“It was a hard game,” the Manager stated. “I felt we were a bit tired and lacking energy, so it is a fair draw, I think.

“Any point is good to take, and I felt we were struggling in moments in this game so it’s fair to share the points.
“We lacked a bit of aggressiveness and energy. We seemed a bit far from each other at times and with the overloading from Tottenham, gave us trouble.
“We adapted to have our wingers lower but then you have less energy going forward if the wingers are defending. We will try to correct that for the next games to do better.”
Four game now remain, and we only need two points to equal our record-high total for a WSL season.
The squad will regroup after the international break.

With two weeks to prepare for a tough test against Arsenal, the window gives Miquel and her coaching staff the chance to work on the final month-and-a-half of the season.
“In the second phase we just want to do our best and take it game by game and work on the points at the end,” she added.
“We’re getting better and closer to our target but we’re not there yet, so we have to focus hard for the next four to come.”
