At 29-years-old, Jansson has played all her footballing career in her homeland of Sweden but is excited for a new challenge in England.
Capable of playing in both defence and attack, the former FC Rosengard player is hoping to have a big impact in the second half of our Barclays Women’s Super League campaign.

“I’m really honoured and excited to start my journey here and meet all the fans, and to be able to play here in this stadium,” Jansson announced.
“I’m a happy person, loyal and I bring my everything to the Club I’m playing for; on the pitch, I have played a lot at centre-back but I like to play as a midfielder and be able to fill the box at both ends.
“The past year, I have watched a lot of the WSL, and I think it’s a good league and it’s where I want to be playing so I’m happy to be here now with Leicester.”
Temperature has frequently been below zero in the East Midlands these past few days, but coming from an even colder climate, the Swedish midfielder was positive about her decision, in what she labels as a dream move.

“I think it’s colder in Sweden,” Jansson stated. “The league has been good for many years, but moving across now (to England) is a really good step in my career.
“Looking out at the stadium is incredible and I’m looking forward to playing here and meeting all the girls in the team, and the fans, so I’m excited.
“The facilities were also really important, and my agent also spoke really well about it, so I’m living my dream to be here.”
