Multi-Sport Camps are a newer addition to the charity’s holiday provision
Among the most loved parts of our holiday offers are our Football Camps and Multisport Camps, which bring young people together during school breaks to enjoy taking part in football or other sports, build confidence, and make lasting memories.
Led by experienced community coaches, the camps run through every half-term and most school holidays, offering up to six hours of football a day for children aged 7 to 13. With prices starting from just £20 per day, and with multi-day offers available, the sessions are designed to be accessible to as many families as possible while ensuring that every child feels supported, safe, and included.
Leicester City in the Community’s Football Camps have become a staple of holiday life for many families, taking place at venues throughout the county, from Syston to Barwell. During the 2024-25 academic year alone, more than 2,200 children joined us, each bringing their own energy and excitement to the pitch. Whether it’s through our mixed sessions or our girls-only camps, we are determined to create a place for every child to enjoy the game they love.
Multi-Sport Camps are a newer addition to the charity’s holiday provision, and take place every holiday period at Soar Valley Leisure Centre, where children engage in a variety of exciting sporting activities that keep them entertained and having fun throughout the school holiday.
The community spirit of these camps is what makes them so special. Alongside the friendships and fun, children are often treated to visits from some very special guests. Current and former LCFC players regularly drop in to inspire the next generation, while Filbert Fox never misses a chance to challenge the kids to a game or two. This summer also saw former LCFC Women captain Aileen Whelan make a surprise visit to our new Holmes Park venue, and is scheduled to make a visit during October too.
One parent of children who attended our camps says: “Our children were so happy and full of energy when we collected them. They gave it 11/10! They kept talking about how many friends they made and how much they worked with their peers to achieve something. I think the element of teamwork and caring is brilliant and shone through when they reflected on their days. Thank you for being such super coaches.”
