  • We entertain Ipswich Town at King Power Stadium on Saturday (3pm GMT kick-off)
  • Bobby De Cordova-Reid has previewed the clash with CITY Matchday Magazine
  • He’s expecting another tight encounter with the Tractor Boys this weekend
  • This weekend’s programme, a double-header also including LCFC Women’s issue, will be available from sellers outside the ground and online
The Jamaica international has netted in consecutive games, during the 3-1 win at Derby County and the 2-2 draw at former club Bristol City, coinciding with a consistent run in the starting XI.
He caught up with CITY Matchday Magazine, the official LCFC programme, this week to take stock on our recent outings, ahead of a return to King Power Stadium this weekend.
I feel like I’m getting a good run of games at the moment and I can be consistent,” the 32-year-old said. “It’s good to be out there building up that match fitness.

“I can get better and fitter but I am happy. We understand there’s obviously a long season and people come in and out of form. We’ve got a big squad and we need everyone involved and plugging away together as one fighting for the cause.”
We’ve shared divisions with Ipswich for the last two seasons, this being a third, battling at the same end of both the Sky Bet Championship and the Premier League for most of that time.
We’ve remained unbeaten against the Tractor Boys across that period, drawing three and winning the last, so De Cordova-Reid feels as though the two squads are well acquainted.

“It will be a good game,” he added. “I think we know each other quite well. They’re obviously doing well at the moment and it will be a good test for us at home.
“I feel like the fans will be behind us and we’ll be looking for the three points – nothing else.”
On the importance of picking up points over Christmas, and as 2025 becomes 2026, Bobby continued: “We’ve spoken and said to each other that this period is massive – it can stand us in good stead going into the New Year.
“We’ve got to keep plugging away, keep putting points on the board and build some momentum through this period. It’s a lot of games but we’ve got a squad to hopefully deal with it and put a positive run together.”
