  • We lost 2-1 to Watford at King Power Stadium on Saturday
  • Jordan James' opener was overturned by Othmane Maamma and Mattie Pollock
  • James was frustrated Leicester City couldn't capitalise on their first-half advantage
  • We must be ready to go again vs. Derby County on Monday, he says
The on-loan midfielder opened the scoring just seven minutes into the Filbert Way contest, but the Hornets came from behind to take all three points.
Othmane Maamma levelled it at the end of what was a positive first half for the Foxes, before Mattie Pollock completed the turnaround in the 65th minute.

“It’s a tough one to take,” our No.6 said. “I think, in the first half, we were very comfortable at 1-0. I felt like, playing the game, we had control of the game.
“Obviously, a silly mistake at the end of the half kills the momentum a little bit. It was sort of a game of two halves for me. I thought we were good in the first half and if we were able to get that second goal, I think it’s a different game, but we weren’t and you get punished.
“It's our fault. We’re old enough, big enough to see what the time is and get everyone up and go longer. That’s what you expect in this league.
“It’s hard to break down when they’re in a low block. When they’re winning the game as well, it gets even tougher. You’re chasing the goal and you make silly mistakes because we’re trying to force things. That’s what I felt happened. We shouldn’t have even been in that situation anyway. In the second half, it was tough.”

James’ early strike was his sixth for the Club and, while pleased to continue his positive form in front of goal, naturally it’s disappointing that it didn’t help us towards three points. There’s a chance to start making amends, though, with Derby County the visitors to King Power Stadium on Monday evening.
“I love scoring goals, I love scoring for this Club,” he added. “Every time I put on this shirt, it means a lot to me.
“Obviously the fans give me so much, so I just want to repay them with the best performances I can. But it puts a dampener on things when we lose the game. It’s a team game and we lost the game so I’m not happy.
“We go again Monday, it’s a quick turnaround. We’ll be ready for it. We know what happened last time we played Derby and we’re hoping for the same again. We’ll go to the training ground tomorrow, recover, and get ready for it.”
