We’re back on home turf for the visit of Preston North End, the first of our final run-in of seven games, with second-tier survival on the line over the coming weeks.
Fresh from the international break, with some players – including Stolarczyk – benefiting from increased time on the Seagrave training pitches, the Polish shot-stopper says we must approach all games as ‘finals’ between now and the end of the season.
“Obviously coming back after the [0-0] result against Watford, it felt like we should have taken more from the game,” he said, speaking to CITY Matchday Magazine, available outside King Power Stadium ahead of Friday’s 3pm BST kick-off.
“We still managed to keep a clean sheet and take a point at a tough, tough place so we’re now looking at the next seven games as big finals and we’ve got take it one at a time.
“Preston at home is first, which is a game that we’re looking at to give our all to get three points over the line and move on to the next one straight away.
Listen, I think we’re at the stage of the season where we can’t be looking too much at the opponents.

“Yes, we’ll look at them and try to prepare in the best way we can but we have to look at ourselves. The whole focus these past two weeks, even during the international break, has been on Friday to make sure we go out there and get a win.”
With four of those seven games coming at home, it’s an advantage which Stolarczyk feels we must seize upon, with the backing of the Blue Army helping us to crucial points.
“Absolutely, I think that goes without saying,” he added, asked about the impact the Foxes faithful can have over this key spell of the campaign.
“Having four games out of the last seven at home is a huge advantage that we have to take into account. It’s something that will also help us and we’re hoping the fans will be there behind us as they have been this season – even in the away games we’ve always heard them.
“We’re looking forward to playing at King Power Stadium in front of our fans – they are going to be the 12th man for us.”
