How did we get here?
Safe standing at King Power Stadium follows extensive consultation with supporters through our Fan Engagement Framework, with the Sports Ground Safety Authority and the Club’s Safety Advisory Group, and is aimed at improving safety, atmosphere and matchday experience. Your feedback, gathered through surveys and interactive sessions, clearly demonstrated the appetite for safe standing, driven by a desire to boost safety, atmosphere and accommodate different fan preferences. Safe standing at King Power Stadium will involve the installation of rails in front of seats in selected areas of the stadium, allowing supporters to stand safely during matches. Each rail creates a safety barrier for supporters in the seats directly behind them, preventing progressive crowd collapse in those areas and ensuring supporters have space to stand comfortably and safely without affecting sightlines for others in the stadium. This system enhances the matchday experience by creating designated standing areas designed specifically for supporter enjoyment.
What if my Season Ticket is already in an area where safe standing is being introduced?
If your Season Ticket is in an area designated for safe standing and you want to stay there, you can! Your seat remains yours to renew in the standard renewal window.
If you would like to relocate to a different seat within the safe standing area you are already in or if you would like to move to an alternative safe standing area, then renew your Season Ticket as normal and enter the ballot for relocation (further details below).
Wish to Relocate?
We understand that safe standing may not be suitable for everyone. If your current Season Ticket is located in an area designated for safe standing, you can relocate to an area elsewhere in the stadium if you prefer.
Renew your Season Ticket as normal by Wednesday 9 April. You’ll then have an exclusive window from 11-17 April to contact the City Sales Centre or LCFC Help and relocate into a different, non-safe standing part of the stadium before any other relocations take place. You can still relocate after this window, but you’ll have a better selection of seats available to you during this period.
My Season Ticket isn’t in a safe standing area, but I’d like to move into one.
Renew your existing Season Ticket as normal and enter the ballot for relocation INTO safe standing between 18 March and 9 April. You can do this once you’ve had confirmation that your Season Ticket has been renewed.
We’ll confirm the number of safe standing spaces immediately available for relocation (as well as any being reserved for Matchday Tickets) on Friday 18 April, once those relocating out have had the opportunity to do so. If a ballot is needed, you’ll be entered into it and we’ll contact you to let you know if you’ve been successful by 5pm on 23 April..
Group Applications
Supporters can enter the safe standing ballot individually or as a group of up to four. If one member of the group is successful, it means the entire group will be, but we encourage early contact to maximise the chance of securing seats together, as availability cannot be guaranteed.
If relocating as a group, consent from all individuals is required before the lead supporter contacts us about relocating. Please note that Under-16s can relocate into a safe standing area but must be accompanied by someone aged 18 or over and should therefore enter the ballot together.
Please note that seats in safe standing areas will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to supporters successful in the ballot during a dedicated relocation window. Seats in safe standing areas are subject to availability and success in the ballot does not mean that a supporter will be guaranteed a seat in their preferred safe standing area.
